Fall Bootcamp
led by Coach Stephen Taylor

The Vanderbilt Triathlon Club had its Fall bootcamp this September. This weekend of training allows us to meet the new members and recruit folks to join our social and training club! Here's the agenda from the weekend:
Friday: Swim clinic and Nashville Urban night run
Saturday: Run video tape analysis and bike to/from Harpeth Creek Marinia where we did a 1mi open water swim (this was about a 9 hr training day)
Sunday: we split into 25-, 40-, and 60-mi bike groups that picked folks up along the route. This was great because it allowed first time bike riders to people training for Olympic and Half-Iron distance races to train together.

October Clinic:
General nutrition

Vandy Tri Member Matt Long spoke at his experiences with Age Group Nationals and at the Olympic Training Center this summer. Matt also passed on some words of wisdom about eating smart and fueling during races. Coach Stephen Taylor offered off-season strength training and nutrition advice. We learned a few core exercises and finished with injury consultation.
